Tungsten Dioxide
Description
Tungsten dioxide is brown monoclinic crystal powder, also known as brown tungsten oxide, mainly used in the manufacture of tungsten powder and tungsten trioxide. Tungsten dioxide is unstable which can be easily oxidized.
Characteristics
Tungsten dioxide is brown monoclinic crystal powder, its density: 10.9~1.1g/cm³, melting point: 1500~1600℃, boiling point: 1730℃, chemical formula: WO2. It is insoluble in water, alkali solution, hydrochloric acid and dilute sulfuric acid. Also easy to disproportionation in an inert gas to produce tungsten and tungsten trioxide.
